Yesterday, August 9, 2007, 10 reporters from the Shabelle radio were arrested and their radio station closed for several hours for the fifth time. The government said that the station did not report as they hoped about their attack on civilians. This attack in question took place in Howlwadag district in Mogadisho, yesterday, Thursday, August 9th, where four people were killed, a number of civilians were seriously injured, and several properties were destroyed. 
How can Abdullahi Yusuf get away with such practices to kill individuals and disregard freedom of speech and press? I ask you, where is the international community? And are they even paying the slightest attention to what is going on in this small, poor, Muslim country? Here is the rub: Many of these countries are signing secret oil deals with the current administration led by President Yusuf.
The Eye on Somali greatly appreciates Shabelle Network and their fearless reporting of what is going on in Somalia. We say to them, keep up with the good work.

Abdulahi Yusuf secret police with the help of Ethiopian Army carry out this mission.
Last few days they shutdown the media, jailed them and harresd them, all these leads to their suspesion to shut down Mogadisho independent media.

The Tigrey Army in Mogadisho along with Somali Governmetn Army supported by Col. Abdulahi Yusuf is responsilbe of the killing.
Abdulahi Yusuf was known of killing of the Somali elders,
in 2000 he was responsible for killing of the Suldan Hure, his own clan elders statesmen.
