Eyes on Somalia would like to share with you recent reports that came out of Somali. The current dictator Abdullahi Yusuf who has a long history of human rights violations is being accused of purchasing several machines for his cousins to print false money that caused inflation and exacerbated starvation. According to one of the demonstrators, people are being asked to purchase food and services in US dollar and the price of one slice of bread has increased in three folds.
It is unfortunate that this story has not been told by other than a very few Somali media. Please take a look at one of many massive demonstrations in Abdullahi Yusuf’s own region where people are crying for justice and demanding change of leadership. http://www.somalitalk.com/video/bannaanbax.html
You may also want to consider the recent statements and letters by 10 US Congress members - Republican and Democrat - to Condoleezza Rice about the gross human rights violation of Ethiopian government.

It is a well-know fact that Ethiopian troops and current dictator, Abdullahi Yusuf, would not have tortured the Somali citizens without the help of other nations, to say the least.
But who cares about what goes on in a small, poor, Muslim country in Africa ? Not many.
